10 Foods that Don't Help your Skin

A delicious meal should put a smile on your face and not turn it itchy or bright red. Some people can get swollen lips, itchiness, flushing, eczema or a hot, bumpy rash, even if you've never reacted to a food before. Below are a list of foods you should avoid in order to help your skin.

1. Cow's Milk
If you suffer with eczema you should turn away from milk because humans cannot absorb the calcium content. A healthier source of calcium is spinach.

2. Chocolate
If you eat alot of choclate it can be bad for your skin because of the cocco and the am ount fo sugar that's found in chocolate.

3. Peanuts
Alot of people have an allergy to peanuts and these are bad for the skin for the amount of oils that are found in them.

4. Shellfish
Shellfish are hosts to a high number of bacteria, pathogens, and parasites that live inside the shells.

5. Wheat
Wheat products (wheat flour, bread, pasta, pastries, wheat cereals, nutrition bars and other foods listing wheat or flour as an ingredient) cause a sudden increase in blood sugar called hyperglycemia. This results in the production of insulin, causing insulin-induced skin inflammation within the follicles.

6. Alcohol
Alcohol dehydrates you and your skin, making it dry, irritated and even result in vasodilatation (swollen blood vessels) which makes red veins mar the surface of the skin.

Oranges, lemons and limes have a high amount of sugar and they contain high glycemic index. They spike blood sugar too much to be eaten regularly enough to meet vitamin needs.

8. Hot Spices
Foods like curries and chilli are bad for your skin because they nourish your skin, I can't eat any type of spice food anymore which is annoying as I love it! but it causes me to react like no other foods do.
